Guidelines For Feature Articles

Feature article length is usually 1,500 - 2,000 words. This may vary depending on how many photos or other creative images that will be included with the article.

Articles may be prepared using Microsoft Word, RTF, or other common word-processing tools. Use headings and subheadings that may include phrases or questions. A reader should be able to get a good impression of what the article contains by briefly examining the headings/subheadings of the article.

While you may choose to layout your article with placement of photographs and other creative, all images and text must be sent as separate files. Our in-house graphics prefer to typeset the article.

Any images submitted to use with article must be at a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Please send all images in a TIFF, EPS, or high-resolution JPEG. All images should be at a scale larger than intended for use with the article. We can not take a 2"x 2" image and reproduce it to a 4"x 4" without adversely affecting the resolution. Low resolution images will be rejected.

Once your article is accepted for publication, we will forward you a proof of your
article layout.
