Zaki Mohammed is a Cybersecurity and AI researcher with over five years of academic and hands-on experience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, and information assurance. His work focuses on securing Operational Technology (OT) environments—mission-critical systems that support industrial and building infrastructure. Zaki has led ISO 27001 and SOC 2 initiatives, engineered real-time detection models for industrial systems, and built simulation-based cybersecurity training programs to strengthen incident response and defensive readiness.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering and a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity Risk Management from Georgetown University, where he worked as a Research Assistant and helped build a collaborative security community. Over two consecutive years, he received Georgetown’s Tropaia Spirit of Georgetown Award, Outstanding Cybersecurity Student Award, and Exceptional Master’s Student Award.
Zaki maintains industry certifications including Security+, CySA+, AWS Security Specialty, and (ISC)² Certified in Cybersecurity, and actively engages with global experts on emerging security and AI-driven defense trends.
